For a while I've been wondering how to best utilise my Snout. Today it will start sniffing publicly as I'll discover Trendy Things and get them to You. I definitely would like to keep the wonderful things I find but my house is already too full so you can have them instead. Do you want what I've found?
Firstly, I cannot avoid fleamarkets and thus will display their hidden treasures in this blog. My intrest is in home decoration and household items with an additional touch of shoes and clothes.
Secondly, you can ask me to find specific things for you. There is plenty of websites for finding Iittala, Arabia and Finnish Design in general, but what I'm after is weird, quirky, odd and mad!
The object of exercise is that I'll rummage around flea markets and car-boot sales so you don't have to! The main thing is that the items I'll purchase will have to cost only peanuts.
I build stories around the objects, sometimes change them and will also create some spaces. There might as well be an occasional art work on offer.
I will share some household tips that have been passed to me over the years by my mum, grandmother and aunts. A lot of so called silent practical knowledge would otherwise disappear.
Alongside this blog I'll create a website that will eventually collect together all the tips, ideas, arts&crafts, items for sale and sources of inspiration.
